How many people can the house accommodate?
Maison La Lanterne can accommodate up to 8 people (kids over 2 years included). The house features 3 bedrooms, with a layout suitable for a stay with family or friends.
Do we need a car to stay at Maison La Lanterne?
Yes, a car is necessary to reach Maison La Lanterne, as there is no public transport directly to the village. A car is also highly recommended during your stay to make the most of the area. The nearest shops, supermarkets, local markets, restaurants, and places to visit are located a short drive away. Having your own vehicle will allow you to explore the beautiful countryside at your own pace and fully enjoy everything the region has to offer.
How to book your stay at Maison La Lanterne?
You can book your stay directly by contacting us via the website or by sending a request by email to: ambrius.creations@gmail.com. We will email you a rental agreement, which you must sign and return to us. Your booking is confirmed upon receipt of a 25% deposit of the total price. The balance is due no later than the day of your arrival.
What payment methods do you accept?
You can pay the deposit by bank transfer, and the balance either by bank transfer or in cash. We do not accept bank cards or cheques.
What is your cancellation policy?
In the event of cancellation by the tenant: - More than 60 days before the start of the rental period: 100% of the deposit is refunded - Between 59 and 30 days before the start of the rental period: 50% of the deposit is refunded - Less than 30 days before the start of the rental period: no refund
Are parties and events allowed?
Maison La Lanterne is a place of peace and serenity. To respect the house, its surroundings, and the neighborhood, parties, noisy gatherings, and events are not permitted.
Is the house suitable for families with small children?
The large, enclosed garden offers a wonderful play area for children, and we can provide baby equipment (cot, baby bath, and changing mat) upon request. The house also offers games and toys suitable for various ages. During the winter months, we ask families with young children to be particularly vigilant around the fireplaces; we therefore recommend supervising children who may not be accustomed to this type of heating.
Is the house suitable for people with reduced mobility?
The rooms are located upstairs, and the showers are not adapted for people with reduced mobility. Please contact us for further information regarding accessibility; we are open to finding solutions for everyone.
Are pets allowed?
We do not accept pets in the house.
DURING YOUR STAY
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in from 4:00 PM, check-out until 11:00 AM. Earlier check-in or later check-out is possible only if we don't have guests directly before or after your stay. Please always ask us if you can arrive earlier or leave later than the official check-in and check-out hours.
How is the house heated?
In winter, the house is primarily heated by two wood-burning stoves. If renting the property as a holiday home, you will need to tend the fire or even light it yourself. Each of the three bedrooms is equipped with an electric radiator.
Does the house have a television?
No, we do not have a television. We have chosen to prioritize a disconnected stay: one conducive to rest, reading, conversation, and discovering the surrounding nature.
Are sheets and towels provided?
Bed linen and bath towels are provided free of charge. The towels provided are for indoor use only. Please remember to bring your own beach towels.
Where can we park our car?
You can park your cars in front of the house for free (maximum 3–4 cars).

This part of France is known for its natural charm, making it perfect for relaxing, enjoying simple outdoor activities, or exploring local attractions. It may not be the best choice for those seeking a big-city atmosphere or popular entertainment close at hand. We do have interesting activities to offer, but many of them require at least a short drive.
Where can I go grocery shopping?
There are no shops or bakeries in Bassigney. A bakery and a small supermarket are located 3 km from the house. You will find large supermarkets 10–15 km away. We recommend stocking up on groceries beforehand to ensure a more relaxed arrival.
